Hot on the heels of his bronze medal at the Australian Age-Group Championships, Fairfield College's Jacob Coutie has produced another superb effort to take gold at the North Island Open and Junior Diving Championships in Auckland at the weekend.

Coutie teamed up with his Auckland partner to win the open men's synchronised 3-metre event and five other Waikato divers also brought home gold medals to cap a successful campaign.

Diving to success in their respective age groups, Kate Ritchie-Lawless (Hamilton Girls' High School) and Stephanie Ewen (Hillcrest High School) were unbeatable as they secured North Island titles in both their 1-metre and 3-metre individual springboard events.

Cassie Storey (Sacred Heart Girls' College) teamed up with Cantabrian Amy Kroening to secure gold and an entry into the New Zealand Championships in the open women's synchronised 3-metre event.'
